Abstract

Lip Repositioning Surgery (LRS) is a procedure primarily used to correct Excessive Gingival Display (EGD), commonly known as a \"gummy smile,\" particularly when caused by a hypermobile upper lip. While the core outcome is esthetic—reducing the amount of gum tissue visible when a person smiles—the psychological benefits for patients are often profound and considered a key measure of the procedure\'s success [1,2] .
